Bloodtype Basement: Porn Show II

Posted by Tim on March 1, 2008

This week we watched so much porn we went blind! That’s right, this week Ed and Runk bring their pornographic version of The Bloodtype Basement as they take a look at two “adult” themed flicks. First up is Shaun Costello’s flick “Pen Pals” then the guys take a look at the 1974 Joe Sarno movie “A Touch of Genie” starring porn legend Harry Reems! Not only that but there’s a guest in the basement this week as staff member John “El Juan” Shatzer comes along to answer some fan questions with the guys as well as talk about the news this week like the passing of a horror legend, what exactly Rob Zombie’s next project will be, Mick Garris splitting from “Fear Itself”, DVD releases and much much more in the sleaziest podcast ever created, The Bloodtype Basement.

R.I.P. John Polonia 1968-2008, independent horror world will miss you…

Posted by Tim on March 1, 2008

John along with brother Mark made their mark making very low budget horror films during the late 80s using VHS cameras and then the 90s with such titles as Among Us, Splatter Beach, Feeders and Feeders 2, Hellgate 1 & 2, and also help Jon (Woodchipper Massacre) Mcbride on several films. The Polonia Brothers even received an independent lifetime achievement film award in 2004! The Polonia Brothers were a huge part of the VHS revolution and helped get independent horror off the ground in the late 80s. So Bastards of Horror staff and myself (a big fan) Tim Gross are sad to see such a great filmmaker go such a young age. RIP John
