Hostel 2 bombs, and pretty much leaving the theaters

Posted by Tim on July 10, 2007

Eli Roth’s latest project to hit the big screen has been a major disappointment for not only him but horror movie fans. His first film (Hostel) grossed around $80 million. The sequel has grossed a little over $20 million and was only budgeted at around $10 million which isn’t bad, but the problem is opening weekend it made close to ten million and has bombed since! Bad reviews and word of mouth have put an early end to the film including Eli Roth in recent interviews becoming sour with horror film fans. Eli, let’s get this straight I loved Cabin Fever… But your other projects have been 3 steps back for your career and I think you should go back to the basics with a project like the rumored “Thanksgiving” from (Grindhouse). Also get rid of Quentin. Until then you will suck donkeys!
