Ed Demko shows his admiration and disgust for Fred Vogel’s AU films “Penance” and “Mordum”. He goes as far to mention one of these films of being “the best exploitation film of this millenium”.
Ed also reviews his first Masters of Horror episode by Rob Schmidt titled “Right to Die”. Pretty cool episode that features a female star with a huge rack and Corbin Bernsen!
We also review “Ghoul School”, “Larva”, the low budget zombie film “Awaken the Dead”, Starz Home Entertainment’s “Survival Quest”, “Terror Tain” , Tartan’s latest ghost feature “Arang”, the magnetic and original tale about an innocent couple being terrorized in suburbia called “Neighborhood Watch” by a great director named Graeme Whifler and the worst Zodiac Killer film ever with “Curse of the Zodiac” by the biggest hack on earth Uli Lommell!

THE ZOMBIE SHOW!
No corpse is left unturned this week on the show, as we discuss the best and worst zombie films with our loyal “deadline” callers. CK and Uncle Bill cover everything from “Return of the Living Dead II” to “Deadlands: The Rising” with all the puss, guts and eviscerated soldiers in between. We also slap open the DVD crypt to uncover the rotten remains of such festering discs as Melissa Bacelar’s cannibal hooker gem “Eat Your Heart Out”, director Carl Bessai’s sappy, enviro-zombie treat “Severed: Forest of the Dead”, Tartan Asia Extreme’s latest spiritual vengeance piece “Arang”, and Billy Zane’s star-vehicle run amok entitled “The Mad”. Feel special yet? Well, hold onto your limbs- all of this plus a new magazine review portion of the show featuring Rue Morgue’s latest issue, details on this month’s final show, and an announcement about our all new summer theme. Here lies the greatest horror show of them all…only on Deadpit.com.

Gross Movie Reviews #88
By Tim Gross
Yes, I refuse to stop writing reviews for movies that most likely shouldn’t be reviewed! I keep watching complete crap in your mind that just makes you want to curl up in a ball in the corner of your bedroom wondering why a person would keep doing this! Once again, more crap, more ugliness, and films you have never heard of…
Calvaire (DVD) – The film is also known as “The Ordeal†and it’s French, I think? It is a foreign film either way that predates “Hostel†by two years and takes even more disturbing twists and turns. The film brings back scary memories of “Deliverance†when you watch it. The film is based around a man named Marc who is a singer traveling to his next gig when his van breaks down on a rainy night. A strange man looking for his dog takes Marc to an inn to stay the night. A lonely man that owns the inn tows the truck back to the inn and calls a mechanic but he is not in. This is where normal ends in the movie as Marc experiences strange things as he walks near a village near the inn where country folk are fucking a pet pig, he is made to sing to the man who owns the inn after dinner, and his van seems to be getting fixed. Marc eventually finds out that the lonely man thinks Marc is his dead wife. Blood, rape, and torture all happen to Marc in some of the most disturbing scenes I have seen in quite awhile. Be warned this is not for the squeamish! I give this 3 ½ stars.
Alligator (DVD-R) – The film that pretty much started the killer animal movies made in America. Yeah, there is “Eaten Alive, Grizzly, Day of the Animals, and few others from Italyâ€. But after this film starring Robert Forester came out in the early 80s it seem to bust open the flood gates and possible one of my favorite mutant killer animal movies of all time! It takes the old urban legend of flushing a small gator down the toilet and it grows to a large mutant gator hungering for human flesh. It is cheesy, bad acting, lots of blood, no CGI, and a shit load of fun to watch. I give it 4 stars.
Coma (VHS) – I’m guessing this was a made-for-TV movie that pretty much stars everyone at the time. Michael Douglas is the main star as his girlfriend who is a doctor in the same hospital as him believes that healthy people are being killed for organ transplants. The film is suspenseful and thrilling as I sat at the edge of my seat to see if she would die before she uncovers the truth or not. A great thriller to watch on a rainy night and I give it 3 ½ stars.
Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity (DVD) – A very corny and horrible film about slave girls who escape a prison to fly in a spaceship to another planet only to become prisoners again who will eventually be hunted for sport by a mysterious man who owns a castle! It is a classic Cult Video flick made by Charles Band and stars the beautiful Brinke Stevens. Want cheese, you got it here and I give it 2 stars.
Mutant (DVD) – B-movie star Wings Hauser stars in this early 80s monster/zombie flick about him and his brother on vacation and get sidetrack in a small country town where the town seems to be coming down with a strange sickness. After Hauser’s brother disappears, he begins to look all over town for him and notices the townspeople have disappeared until nightfall happens and monster/zombies begin to look for flesh! A pretty cool 80s film worth tracking down, I give it 3 stars.
End of the World (DVD) – Another “Empire Pictures†film from Charles Band that stars horror film legend Christopher Lee as an alien who is trying to contact a scientist knowing the world is going to end. A very horrible film that not even the hardcore Lee fan would most likely make it through because it barely makes any fucking sense at all! I give it 0 stars.
Stupid Teenagers Must Die! (DVD-R) – The title explains everything as this a film that pays homage to the slasher 80s films. First off, the title is the funniest title I have ever come across! But anyhow the film has a group of friends ripped out of most 80s horror films (the hot chick, the Goth chick, the hero, the tough guy, lesbians, you get the picture) who go to a house where a man slaughtered his family in every room of the house! The group is there to party and have a séance. Of course in typical 80s fashion things go wrong and it is up to the hero to save the day as the group is killed off one by one. Lots of blood, on purpose bad 80s acting is the highlights of this entertaining and funny as hell horror movie that is like a blend of horror titles “Killer Party†and “Night of the Demonsâ€! One big problem with the film is that it seems to have this lull in the middle of the film where it doesn’t progress. Whether this is on purpose or not in my opinion it took away from what could have been a great horror film. But don’t let that take away from which is still a solid independent horror film that must be seen by 80s horror and slasher film fans. I give it 2 ½ stars and can be found and bought at www.stupidteenagersmustdie.com and www.myspace.com/stupidteenagers .
Dr. Moreau’s House of Pain (DVD) – A Charles Band film that is the unofficial sequel to “Island of Dr. Moreauâ€. Dr. Moreau has been moved to a hidden home by his creations to continue his experiments to eventually turn the animal/human hybrids back to human. But of course he needs fresh humans to do his experimental transplants and depends on a pretty lady who happens to be a stripper at a local lounge and picks up men there for food and experiments. If you like Full Moon features you’ll of course of the cheesiness of this B-grade movie. Lots of beer and drugs make this film worth the watch otherwise wait until you are faced with death to watch it! I give it 1 star.
