Yvonne De Carlo, best known as the vampy Lily on the 60’s series, “The Munsters”, died today at the age of 84.
A seasoned television actress (she had roles in “Fantasy Island”, “Bonanza”, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and the miniseries “Roots”), De Carlo’s biggest theatrical claim to fame was the portrayal of Moses’ wife in the Cecil B. DeMille blockbuster, “The Ten Commandments”.
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Yvonne was nicknamed “Peggy” growing up, and was named Miss Venice Beach in 1938. She’s survived by 2 sons and a step-daughter.
