From E&B Holdings, LLC:
The 2007 Eerie Horror Film Festival, October 10-14, is still accepting entries for its contest for screenplays in the horror/science fiction genres.
Winning entrants will receive prizes, including cash awards, in numerous categories that you can locate on the festival website. While the categories of screenplays are numerous, the top screenplays for Best Feature Length Screenplay, Best Short, and Best Student Screenplay will be given an additional opportunity.
As you no doubt know, the festival is honored to have Ken Foree, legend of screen and television, as its guest this year. Ken is best known for his role in Dawn of the Dead and its 2004 remake, as well as Rob Zombie’s latest film, Devil’s Rejects.
The festival and Earth and Below Holdings, LL.C., joined forces this year, and as a result, are able to offer entrants a unique opportunity.
Ken, with his keen eye for works possessing a level of excellence that make them stand out from others, agreed to donate his time to read the winning screenplays in the following categories: (1) Best Feature Length Screenplay; (2) Best Short; and, (3) Best Student Screenplay, after the festival. It is certainly not an opportunity that comes around often, and one that you definitely shouldn’t pass up if you have a piece you feel has what it takes to set it apart from the rest.
The pairing of this year’s Eerie Film Festival and Ken Foree’s input on winning works during this competition will absolutely make this year’s event an explosion of synergistic possibilities for the authors who possess not only exceptional talent, but a unique and new vision and perspective on films in these genres.
