It seems slowly but surely my book, “Gross Movie Reviews Volume One” is becoming the little horror book that could. The book moved up again sales rank this week at www.lulu.com from 1972 to 1950. Since April the book has had a slow climb but recently with help from www.deadpit.com , DSK-Productions, and guys that are pretty much Bastards themselves, Russ and Ed from www.bloodtypeonline.com the book is on the rise! Keep checking back for deatils on convention appearances and if you are interested in what the horror fans are embracing as we speak go to www.lulu.com and search for Gross Movie Reviews in books. $12.99 a copy plus shipping!

Filmmakers,
Do you have a film that hasn’t found a home yet? Have you shot on film instead of DV and looking for help to find a company that wants it? Or are you interested in working with a cult filmmaker making a horror film? Then you might want to talk to Terry Lofton. Yes the man that gave us
Nailgun Massacre!
If interested e-mail me for details at : LAN_EMAIL_SUBS

The other day I was looking at a good couple of hours cleaning my house to get ready for my daughter’s birthday party. In loo of the usual listening to Sirius to get my stuff done, I thought I change it up and put on a DVD. A little blood and guts to get the adrenaline going. So I unlocked the vault and looked at my collection for a good movie that would take the edge off of shoveling my kids’ toys into a corner. Of course I ended up watching Poltergeist.
I’ve watched Poltergeist a couple hundred times, as I’m sure you have too, since I first saw it in the theater in 1982. For some reason this time I started noticing things that must’ve shot over my head before:
*When Craig T. Nelson first meets with the researchers he says that he’s 32 and his wife is 31. Then proceeds to tell them that his oldest daughter is 16. Which means he knocked up JoBeth Williams when she was 15.
*At the end of the movie the oldest daughter comes home with at least 1 hickey, maybe two. Can anyone confirm this?
*Steven Spielberg had a big thing for JoBeth Williams. Apparently he liked her in thick, wet substances since she was always covered in mud, blood, or “ectoplasm”. He even crawled in the pool with her during the “Swimming with corpses” scene to calm her fear of lights falling in and frying her.
*Earthquakes, tornados, giant killer trees, screaming, explsoions, and a whole house fills up with light, and the neighbors never once call the cops. It takes coffins exploding from the ground for them to notice.
*James Karen never once assumes that Graig T. Nelson has all that equipment in his living room to shoot amateur porn.
*The researchers experience all the shit flying around the kids room then proceed to try to debunk Carol Ann’s voice coming through the TV as a C.B. broadcast.
*I know why Carol Ann died. In the scene just before the clown gets the boy, Carol Ann rolls over in bed to face the camera WITH A LUKE SKYWALKER FIGURE IN HER MOUTH. Lucas was offended by her ad lib and had her killed.
