“THE SANDMAN” RETURNS TO HAUNT YOUR DREAMS THIS HALLOWEEN!

Tempe DVD resurrects an old favorite for Halloween! Cinefantastique magazine hailed director J.R. Bookwalter’s creature feature THE SANDMAN as its “Best Outlaw Movie of the Year” when it was first released in 1995, and now it’s back as a remastered Special Edition DVD on September 16, 2006 ($24.99 SRP).

Something is murdering the residents of a small-town trailer park — something big, with glowing red eyes! When an insomniac novelist catches a glimpse of something strange next door to him late one night, he becomes embroiled in a quest to find out why everyone around him seems to be dying in their sleep…

In addition to being the founder of Tempe Video, SANDMAN director J.R. Bookwalter is also the creator of THE DEAD NEXT DOOR, Full Moon’s WITCHOUSE 2: BLOOD COVEN as well as Tempe DVD’s own WITCHOUSE 3: DEMON FIRE, OZONE and POLYMORPH.

THE SANDMAN Special Edition DVD is loaded with extras, including: Digitally restored picture (1.33:1 full-frame), Dolby Digital 5.1 surround remix, Audio commentary with director J.R. Bookwalter & line producer James L. Edwards, “Making THE SANDMAN featurette (10 mins.), Deleted scenes (15 mins.), “Plymouth music video (3 mins.), Promotional still gallery, Tempe DVD trailers, a bonus hidden Easter egg and reversible sleeve with introduction by Bookwalter.
