Horror movie news you need to hear!

Posted by Tim on June 10, 2006

First, See No Evil has made enough money for Lionsgate to put forth a script for the sequel which could go into production as early as December.

Second, since the annoucement, if you haven’t heard yet, Rob Zombie’s next movie after “El Superbeasto” is Halloween! Now you go to any horror messageboard and this has angered everyone. But Rob will be helming Halloween 9/remake/revision/prequel/whatever. If smart Rob will go the Halloween 3:Season of the Witch route!

Third, New Line has picked up the US rights to “battle Royale” which was one of the best movies in the past ten years. So expect a remake within the year.

Is "Feast" getting its chance?

Posted by Tim on June 10, 2006

Over a year and half since Project Greenlight has ended there is still buzz about the film “Feast” filmed on a 3 million dollar budget and directed by a first time director has gotten a bad rap from Weinstein Bros., Disney, etc. whoever you wanna blame at this point. Well, I received two e-mails over the past two days and starting to see it being reported on other websites that there is a claim “Feast” will be released in September hopefully to theaters. Question is now is this limited or wide or LA and then to DVD? The one thing this movie got going for it is that the buzz that surrounds it reminds me when “House of 1000 Corpses” could not buy a release until Lionsgate came along! What happen? The movie love it or hate it made a shitload of cash because of the low budget and the buzz that surrounded it! Only time will tell…
