Well last night if you were watching “Robot Chicken” you seen what I seen? Bruce Campbell in the ‘morning wood’ segment where he is shining up his morning wood! He also narrated the ‘Spy Hunter’ segment. “Robot Chicken” is a 12 minute feature that has claymation figures making fun of everything and anything on TV produced by Seth Green among others and is now in its second season on Cartoon Network’s “ADult SWim” at 11:30pm EST on Sundays!

Frankenstein Unbound: Rewind
By Tim Gross
“Frankenstein Unbound So you never heard about it…? Well, for the most part only hardcore horror movie lovers have seen it or have heard about it. Hell most people including independent video stores don’t even own it. It maybe plays on a STARZ or HBO channel once a year if you are lucky? The movie is directed and produced by Roger Corman who made this one project one of his last he ever directed and just went on producing. The movie stars William Hurt who is most famously known for “the man who had the chest-bursting alien bursting out of his chest in the 1979 movie “Alien. Also stars the late Raul Julia as Dr. Frankenstein who is mostly known for helping revive “Gomez Adams in The Adams Family. And one more but forgotten person, the talented, sexy, and still very hot “Bridget (I have an uncredited role in “Army of Darkness) Fonda as Mary Shelly! And don’t forget a cameo appearance by Jason Patric!
As you can see the cast for this movie is unbelievable and yet you are scratching your head as to why you never seen this? Part of the reason could be the only coverage it got was from the old-defunct magazine “Gorezone that covered it well during its production during 1989. The other part is most of Roger Corman’s features go unnoticed these days as there is only a niche market for Corman at that time. Or more of the reason could be that it came to direct-to-video VHS in 1990 and no one for the most part knew it was out or blew it off as just another Frankenstein rip off that would live up to anything like the original! Not matter what the reason I’m hear to tell you, you need to find this movie it is a unfound classic that I have loved for years.
You ask why this movie would be so different from all the other “Frankenstein clones. Well, the movie is set in the year 2030 where a scientist (William Hurt) has come up with a weapon that just wipe things out from time completely. Otherwise the ultimate weapon! Problem is this weapon comes with a price of a time riff opens everytime he tests the weapon causing havoc in the future with people disappearing during these time riff storms! Interesting enough the scientist is caught in one of these storms after he saves some children playing on his lawn. The scientist is time warped back in time to the early 1800’s where he finds himself shut off from his futuristic world with no way back! As he explores the new world he is in he quickly understands he’s hundreds of years in the past and must find a way back until he becomes amazed with his first appearance of the “Frankenstein monster and later meeting “Dr. Frankenstein himself. The scientist finds himself in between a battle between “Dr. Frankenstein and his monster and falling in love with Mary Shelly. The movie plotline yes might be a little out there but Corman took the great things about the first two Frankenstein movies and expanded them and set them in the future as if somehow creating a parallel between the scientist’s experiment and “Dr. Frankenstein’s experiment. The movie moves at a quick 88 minute pace and be warned can be gory at times but has an ending that has you wanting more. The movie has yet to be picked up for a DVD release and VHS copies are very scarce. EBay, might be a option if you can find someone who has copied it to DVD-R but let’s put it this way, I have spoken to quite few vendors at conventions and most of them are surprised I would look for that movie knowing they don’t even have a Laserdisc of it! So please you have the chance don’t miss one of the most underrated movies I have ever seen, “FRANKENSTEIN UNBOUND!

Tommy Chong has joined the cast of Charles Band’s Evil Bong. The stoner horror comedy also stars Robin Sydney (Gingerdeadman, The Lost), Kristyn Greene, and Brian Lloyd (Doll Graveyard). According to Band “Having Tommy Chong in our film is like having the ‘weed seal of approval’!”
