PAURA: LUCIO FULCI REMEMBERED Volume 1

Posted by Charlie on November 5, 2008

Who was Lucio Fulci, director of such horror classics as ZOMBI 2, CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD and THE BEYOND — an eccentric? A misogynist? A genius? Much speculation surrounded the life of this revered Italian director since his untimely death in 1996. Divided into three categories — Accomplices (Crew), Peers (Directors) and Victims (Actors) — the acquaintances Fulci engaged with throughout his long and diverse moviemaking career recall good, bad and sometimes ugly anecdotes by revealing the answer to one question: “What is your fondest memory of Lucio Fulci?” 7 years in the making, nearly 90 interviews and almost 4 hours of footage — a must for any fan of EuroHorror cinema, limited to only 2,500 copies!

Pittsburgh Expomart update

Posted by Charlie on July 3, 2008

Apparently the Expomart in Pittsburgh has been sold off to a third party and converted into office space. The buyer has said that they have no interest in having shows there. So now the Comicon, Steel City Con toy show, Horror Hound(if they come back) and any other convetion or trade show that was held there will need to find new homes, and there ain’t many options anymore.

Kindertrauma

Posted by Charlie on June 13, 2008

Kindertrauma is a great web site dedicated to all the shit that scared the hell out of you when you were a wee child.  Tons of great stuff like dedications to the creepiest of child actors.  I even found a few movies that I only remembered scenes that still creep me out to this day.
